What is Krav Maga?
Krav Maga is a real-world self-defense system developed for the Israeli Defense Forces. Unlike traditional martial arts, it has no rules, no sport competition, and no ceremonies. It is built entirely around practical techniques that work in real situations against real threats.
Is Krav Maga safe to learn?
Yes. While Krav Maga is an intense system, classes are taught in a controlled, structured environment with trained instructors. Safety is always the priority, and techniques are practiced progressively so students build skills without unnecessary risk.
Do I need any experience to start?
None at all. Every program at Krav Elite is designed to welcome complete beginners. You will never be thrown into a situation you are not ready for.
What programs do you offer?
Krav Elite offers programs for Adults, Women, Teens, and Kids, as well as Corporate Seminars and private training sessions.
What will I learn in the adult program?
You will learn striking, defense against grabs and chokes, weapon defense, situational awareness, how to handle multiple attackers, and how to stay calm and effective under pressure.
What ages are the kids and teen programs for?
The Kids Program is designed for ages 6–12 and the Teen Program is designed for ages 13–16.
What should I wear to my first class?
Wear comfortable athletic clothing you can move freely in. Shorts and a t-shirt work perfectly. Athletic shoes or bare feet are both fine depending on the drill.
What should I bring?
Just yourself and a water bottle. We will take care of the rest.
Do I need to buy any equipment before starting?
No. For your free trial class, no equipment is needed. As you progress, we will recommend gloves and other gear, but nothing is required on day one.
Will I be put with advanced students right away?
New students are introduced to the curriculum progressively and paired appropriately. You will never feel out of place or overwhelmed.
Do I need to be in shape to start?
Absolutely not. Many of our students begin with little to no fitness background. The training itself will get you in shape. You just need to show up.
Is Krav Maga a good workout?
One of the best. Classes combine striking, movement, and functional fitness drills that build strength, endurance, and agility simultaneously.
I have an injury or physical limitation. Can I still train?
In many cases, yes. Speak with our instructor before your first class and we will work with you to modify techniques and drills as needed.
I am older — is this program still for me?
Yes. Krav Maga is built around efficiency and technique, not athleticism. Students of all ages train and thrive at Krav Elite.
Is the environment competitive or intimidating?
Not at all. Krav Elite is intense but welcoming. Students support each other, and the culture is built around growth, not ego. Beginners are respected and encouraged at every level.
Will I get hurt in class?
Training is controlled and progressive. Minor bumps and bruises are possible in any physical training, but serious injuries are rare when proper technique and safety protocols are followed.
Is sparring required?
Controlled partner drills are a regular part of training, but contact sparring is introduced gradually and only when students are ready. No one is forced into situations they are not prepared for.
Will my child be taught to fight?
The program teaches children to avoid danger, use their voice, create distance, and protect themselves as a last resort. The emphasis is always on awareness and de-escalation first.
Are the kids and teen classes separate from the adult classes?
Yes. Kids and teens train in their own dedicated classes with age-appropriate curriculum, instruction, and energy levels.
Do you offer classes for women only?
Yes. We offer a Women's Self-Defense Program in a supportive, judgment-free environment designed specifically with women in mind.
How long are the classes?
Most classes run approximately 40 minutes to one hour depending on the program.
How many classes per week should I attend?
We recommend starting with two to three classes per week to build skills and conditioning at a solid pace. As you progress, many students increase to four or five sessions per week.
Do you offer private lessons?
Yes. Private and semi-private training sessions are available for individuals or small groups who want accelerated progress or personalized instruction.
How do I get started?

How will Krav Maga help my child outside of the gym?
Students consistently show improvements in focus, discipline, confidence, and respect at home and in school. The character development built in training carries into every area of life.
Can I watch my child's class?
Yes. Parents are welcome to observe classes. Seeing your child grow in real time is one of the most rewarding parts of the program.
